Meet our directors
José-Antonio Bonet made his first short on super 8, at the age of 14, and found time while pursuing his Degree in Business Administration at ICADE to do courses in Film and Creative Writing. He gave up a career as a finance analyst when he was admitted to the Madrid Film School.
His shorts, Clases de Ruso, with Luis Tosar, and Las Viandas, with José María Pou and Roberto Alvarez, have been to festivals all over the world, where they have won many awards.
He is, at present, working on his first novel, Tempus Fugit, and in the feature-length version Las Viandas , selected by the prestigious screenplay-development program Ibermedia (November 2014), in the Coproduction Workshop at Havana (December 2014) and the Coproduction Market at Guadalajara, Mexico (March 2015).
Born in Madrid in 1972. A graduate of Mass Communications from the Complutense University of Madrid, he later attended the Madrid Film School.
Since then he has written teleplays, worked as a script analysit and directed a number of shorts, among them Cuadrilátero, which has won over twenty international awards, and Los Planetas, produced with Showtime Networks.
He is currently preparing to direct his first feature, Cuarteto.
